Whenever someone asks that question of a same sex couple I headdesk a bit.

If I, as a man, date another man, then I’m dating a man, not a woman, so when you as which one of us is the woman you’re asking rather silly question.
Do I ask you in your heterosexual relationship which one’s the woman?

What are you trying to ask?
Is it about sex? (Cause, very often, it’s about sex…)
Do you mean “Which one of you takes it up the ass?”
Because, while that’s none of your business, I have to ask, do all women take it up the ass? (Let me help you, the answer’s no.) Does your wife/girlfriend? Is that what makes her the woman? Is what makes you a “man” that you don’t? And honestly, what difference does it really make?
I wasn’t aware of gender being defined as “the person who inserts is male, the person who is penetrated is female”, what about people who do neither? What about people who’ve never had sex? What about people who have no interest in sex?

For your information, if I wanted to be with a woman, I wouldn’t be dating a man, and if he wanted to be with a woman, he wouldn’t be dating me.

I’m not a woman any more than I’m of a different colour, or different species, or from another planet.
It’s a nonsensical question.
